We did a couple of other fun things this summer after returning from Idaho. We went to the Iowa State Fair and got to see the cow made out of butter! Nixon also got to see lots of fun animals and the biggest pigs we had ever seen.
We also spent lots of time at the splash pad and hours and hours at the park!
We moved Nixon into his big boy bed! He has been doing awesome. He slept in there for about three weeks before he even tried getting out, and when he did he stayed at the top of the stairs yelling, “Mom, Mom!”, like he knew he wasn’t supposed to get out. I think he did so well because he stayed in his crib for so long and was so used to having to wait for us to come get him in the morning and after naps. He has gotten out twice, and still waits for me to come in in the morning. So cute! Oh, and Chase and I made the bed! It was such a fun project and so rewarding, especially since Nixon loves it!
