You can see a little of the leftover bruising on this one. By this time, it was just yellow. Most of the dark spots under my eyes are gone here.
Excuse the nose hairs :) But this is a good view to see how off my nose is.
Yuck!
Here I am right before surgery! My mom and Destri were there with me and I'm so grateful they were (Chase had class all day long). There are some pretty funny stories from the anesthesia so if you haven't heard them, ask me when you see me next and I will tell you. I didn't really want to include them on my blog, they are a little embarrassing :) Surgery went well and they didn't have to shove the splints up my nose to straighten out the cartilage like they originally told me. They basically just re set the bone. I am so grateful for modern medicine and to live in a time and place where we have the resources to get things like this fixed.
When we got home from surgery, I passed out all afternoon and slept really well. I woke up feeling more like my self and not like a drugged up person:)Here is a picture of the nasty tape I had to wear on my nose for a whole week. It was so gross by the time they took it off! And I couldn't believe how tight it was and how sticky it was. It made my eyes water like crazy when they ripped it off. I was so nervous all week for how it was going to look after they took it off. I was very happy to find that my nose looked back to normal.
