We finally got the boat started up again and we were ready to roll. Zack wakeboarded a bit until we decided the water was a little too choppy to do that. So we broke out the tube, and that's where it all went wrong.
Chase, Sam, and I were all on the tube. I was nervous as heck and now I know why! I was sitting in between the boys and I remember having the thought, "Why am I on here? I really just want to survive this and not get hurt." We hit some waves and had some fun for about 10 minutes. Then, while in motion, Sam moved to the back of the tube, leaving the right side very heavy with Chase and I on it. Chase yelled, "Move over to the side!". So I moved over to the left side of the tube so that the weight was evenly distributed, all while the tube and boat were in motion. Within seconds, we hit a wave on my side, sending me up in the air, feet over my head, in a complete back flip, and taking Sam's elbow to my face. I remember seeing the sky for a split second and then hitting the black water. I knew I had been hit pretty hard because I could feel the blood beginning to come from what seemed like my brain. I kept wiping under my nose with my hand expecting to see blood, and nothing for about 5 seconds. Then immediately it started gushing out. Chase and Sam got thrown off the tube about 3 seconds after I did so they weren't very far away from me. When Chase came out of the water he yelled, "Are you ok?" I answered "No!". I have never seen that boy move/swim so fast (that would have been helpful in our triathlon haha). Anyway, when he got to me he was holding me up, and yelling at me to put my head back. I said, "No! It's choking me!", meaning my life vest. I then asked him, " Does my nose look ok?" He paused.... "It's a little crooked, it's a little crooked." I started crying harder. He just kept holding me in the water and telling me everything was going to be okay. Looking back, I really enjoyed having Chase take care of me like he did in that situation. I felt so comforted by him. When the boat got back around to us, no one was saying anything. I could tell they were a little shocked and no one wanted to tell me that my nose really did look broken. When we got back to the dock, Chase's parents called all around town to figure out the best place to take me, while I iced my face and nose. The Twin Falls emergency room was backed up for 5 hours because it was a holiday and a weekend, so Chase ended up taking me to the emergency room in Burley. On the way there, I felt nauseous numerous times. Especially when I got out of the car to walk into the building. We got checked in, and then Chalet called telling us that she had found out from the ear nose and throat doctor that if you can breath and smell out of your nose, then they really can't do anything about a broken nose until the swelling goes down. We decided to leave the emergency room and let whoever was going to do the surgery/fix my nose, do all the x-rays and not have to pay for it twice.
My nose immediately started to swell and that night we went to the rodeo at the Twin Falls County Fair. Thinking back to it, I'm actually surprised I felt like going. If I ran into anyone I knew, I felt like I immediately needed to tell them why I looked like an Avatar. We ate lots of yummy food at the fair and had a great time at the rodeo. That night when we got home from the rodeo, the power was out! We couldn't believe that was the ending to that crazy day we had!

Even though so much went wrong we sure wish we were there....glad everything turned out okay with your nose.
