Update

Here is an update of Nixon, us, and our lives for the past 3 weeks!

My mom was able to come out for about 10 days and she got here just in time. Thank you for helping me during the night, making meals, and for the fun time we had together!

Aunt Achie (Ashlee) was able to come out for a few days, and it was so fun to have her here. She sure knows how to whip things into shape :) Thank you so much Ashlee for all your help and for making meals and making me laugh!

Nixon's first bath! We found that the little sink upstairs worked the best to keep his whole body warm. He absolutely loves his tub! I think he would stay in there all day if I let him.

There is nothing sweeter than finding your son asleep on your husband..

Umm.. Hello! I forgot to post about THIS!! The day before I went into labor, Chase and I were out looking at pianos. We found a GREAT deal on this one because it was on consignment. We made an offer and they took it! It was built in 1987 and is in amazing condition. I love the way it plays because it is already broken in. It has been so fun to play at night when Nixon is asleep. I remember my mom playing at night when I was in bed, and I loved falling asleep to piano music.

The funny thing was, when we bought it, I asked the salesman when they could deliver it. He said the very next morning. I said, "Great! We don't have anything going on, so sooner the better. As long as I don't go in to labor in the morning." We all laughed. Well, I DID go into labor that next morning so Chase had to call and tell them that they couldn't deliver it that day. The people at the store were so sweet, they sent us flowers to the hospital. We ended up getting it delivered a week or so later when my mom was in town. We have the PERFECT room for it! It makes me excited to get some students now! I will post more pics of the piano and our house soon!

My mom and I decided to go out shopping for a couple of hours and let Daddy have some alone time with Nixon. I think they had fun, even though he looks mad in this picture.

Grandma Funk and Aunt Heidi were able to come to Omaha and spend a few days with us. It was so nice to get some sleep while they were here. Thanks for all your help! It was so fun to have you!
