7 Months

I am finally getting around to Nixon's 7 month post.. he turns 8 months next week. It's been a busy couple of weeks for us getting back into the swing of things. He turned 7 months on Christmas Eve and is a BUSY BUSY boy! It is seriously a full time job keeping him entertained. He is already sick of his toys and gets frustrated that he can't crawl and get to where he needs to be. It takes ALL my creative juices every day to figure out how to keep him entertained. I love that his personality keeps coming out more and more. Here are some things he has been doing this month:
Still loves his bath (if he is fussy, this will always work)
Scratches things when he is tired (sometimes after I lay him down at night for bed, we can hear him scratching his sheet. It's hilarious.)
Has found a new love for cellphones, remotes, and anything with buttons
Still nursing 5 times a day, plus one feeding during the night
Lots of drooling, but no teeth
He can pivot 90 degrees on his belly, but no crawling yet
Blows lots of bubbles
Started "whimpering" when we were in Idaho, sounded like a little puppy
Sleeps 11-12 hours a night
Takes 2 naps, each usually 1 to 1 1/2 hours long
Sick of his toys
Likes playing with stuff from the kitchen, but even that stuff is getting boring to him
Lights up when he sees his friends, or they come to play
Loves to go on walks and be outside
When he is being held, always tries to lean and get things or turn away from you
Loves sleeping on his tummy, but started turning up on his hip, almost on his side, when you first lay him down.. Here is a pic of that :)
I have been wanting to take some pictures of Nixon in one of Chase's old outfits from when he was a baby and finally got around to it. Chase is on the left:)
These 2 are both Nixon
He was much more interested in playing with the backdrop and shredding it to pieces than smiling at the camera :)

  2. So so so cute! Just love seeing pictures of him and seeing how big he's getting. Do you have any plastic stacking cups. My kids played with those tons at that age. I could even put little things in them to snack on or chew on and hide them underneath and they would have to find them. It's something for a few minutes at least. Love you guys
