We got to celebrate Chase's 29th birthday in September! We like to joke about him finally having a job by the time he is 30.
Chase also got to be a part of the Creighton Dental flag football team. Nixon loved to watch his daddy play and let his mom chase him around the whole game :)
I got to take Nixon to an apple orchard this year! We went with our friends Macie and Lara. I am getting so sad about not living by them come May. Macie and Nixon LOVE each other. It is the cutest thing.
They got to go on a pony ride at the orchard! This was Nixon's favorite part.
And get their faces painted! Nixon was so funny. I was afraid he wouldn't hold still, but he did and loved getting his face painted.
He chose the train...
And of course we had to go pick out our pumpkins for FHE one night. Nixon loved riding in the wheelbarrow.
Our little family also took a trip to Nauvoo. We decided it would be a good time to go, before the baby is born, and before we have to worry about moving. It was a blast! Chase and I got to go to the temple one morning and it was absolutely gorgeous inside. Wood floors everywhere! We had some friends that happened to be in Nauvoo the same weekend as us and they offered to watch Nixon.
We went on a hay ride and a carriage ride...
Yes, we camped while we were there! Some of our friends thought we were crazy, me being pregnant and everything. It was totally fine with our air mattress though. We had been wanting to take Nixon camping one more time this year anyway so we decided to combine the two trips. It was a super nice camp ground and Nixon couldn't have been happier camping and sleeping in the tent.
We visited Wilford Woodruff's home, which is my great, great, great, great Grandfather :)
Carthage Jail...
This is the room where Joseph Smith was killed. It had a very neat spirit there, despite trying to keep Nixon quiet during the presentation. It was such a fun memorable trip for our little family to take and I'm glad we took the opportunity to do it while we could!
